  • Air flow used by machines in the factory
  • Airflow usage of handcrafted parts, finishing…
  • Factor of simultaneous use of equipment in the factory
  • Calculate the amount of gas wasted due to leakage, transmission, tools…

From the above parameters, the optimal compressed air flow value will be selected, from which the machine capacity will be selected.

This is an extremely important value, affecting the use of gas in the plant. When giving pressure to an air compressor, consider:

  • Air pressure used by all equipment in the plant. Select the pressure level must be higher than the highest consumption pressure.
  • Calculation of pressure loss through pipes and through gas tools
  • Calculate the distance from the air compressor room to the air use location to optimize pressure loss

From the above data, the appropriate pressure level of the air compressor will be selected. In addition, if the factory has different levels of air pressure used, it is advisable to consider buying a different range of air compressors, thereby significantly saving electricity consumption compared to buying a synchronous high pressure machine.

Controller Type:

Air compressors have load-no-load control and inverter control. Depending on the gas usage status of the plant, the appropriate control type can be selected:

  • If the plant uses gas evenly and mostly at full load, the standard load-no-load control model can be used
  • If the plant uses irregular gas, it is recommended to use inverter control current. Then it will save 20-30% power consumption
  • If the factory uses many air compressors, it is recommended to choose 1 inverter as the server to regulate the load for the whole system. This will optimize power as well as the ability to supply air evenly

Compressed air type:

Currently, there are oil-free compressors (Oil Free) and oil-flooded compressors (Oil Flooded). Depending on the requirements of the factory, we choose the appropriate machine. The oil-free series has very high air quality (Class 0) but is very expensive. Therefore, it is only used for some specific industries such as: Food, medical, pharmaceutical, electronic… Other industries can use oil-based compressors.

  • Cooling type:

Air compressors are available in water cooled and air cooled models. Depending on the machine capacity, factory condition, choose the appropriate line:

  • With a large capacity machine, it will have a large heat capacity, so choose a water-cooled machine
  • With small machine, small cooling capacity, can choose air-cooled line

Air dryer is a device that separates water from compressed air, making it dry and safe for use. Depending on the requirements of the dryness of the gas, choose:

  • Refrigerated gas dryer with dew point range from 2~15 degrees Celsius (Pressure dew point)

  • Absorbent air dryer with the lowest possible dew point down to -70 degrees Celsius (Pressure dew point)

Air filter options:

Air filter has the role of removing impurities from compressed air, helping to keep the air clean when used. There are 5 levels of filtering:

  • Level of water separation filter: Helps to remove liquid water and coarse dust from the gas. Filter level 3~5 micro
  • Pre-filter level: Remove dust from compressed air, filter level 1 microFine filtration level: Remove oil dust from compressed air, filtration level 0.01 micro
  • Carbon filter level: Removes oil vapor from compressed air, filtration level 0.003 wt ppm
  • Class 0 filter level: carbon tower type, helping compressed air to approach the oil-free level
  • The selection of filtration levels depends on the air quality requirements of the customer as well as the requirements of the production.

  • Air compressor capacity

  • Number and type of air compressor control
